"I will continue to be a vegetarian even if the whole world started
to eat meat. This is my protest against the conduct of the world."
Isaac Bashevis Singer – Nobel Prize winning author
This article is about what it means for most of us, to live in a world where we're very much alone to feel the way we do about animal exploitation. As far as I'm concerned, it's very accurate. For some it might be hard to go against the rest of the world, but at least for me, it was easy. I didn't have 'the rest of the world' even before I chose my lifestyle.
The title says it all, doesn't it? Read the article here.
Look at this video to see what they are. I can only agree. There are probably more, but these will do.
50 gram margarine (I usually use half of that and I actually prefer that)
4 1/2 deciliters (225 gram) wheat flour
3 deciliters (190 gram, I usually use 2 thirds of that amount) sugar
2 tsp vanilla (I always use 2 tblsp)
1 tblsp baking soda
2 1/2 deciliters soy milk
Tips for variants:
2 tbsps cocoa powder for chocolate cake
thin apple slices, dipped in sugar and cinnamon
Serve as it is or with thick or whipped soy cream or oat cream (or any other vegan cream you like).

Today, my sister and I created a new microcommunity. It's a sort of personal Twitter. The members post short status update messages, just like on Twitter, but this is a community - in this case one especially about veganism, animal rights and similar issues.
You're welcome to come in and take a look:
The chocolate balls (vegan) are as good at Espresso House in Malmö as they are in Göteborg.
After what was supposed to be a reasonably short trip, due to unforeseen circumstances turned into one considerably longer and more tiresome, I had to get something to eat. Since Espresso House is conveniently located inside the Central Station in Malmö, I dropped in, while waiting for the next train.
Actually, Malmö seems quite nice so I think I'll return some day when the weather is a litte nicer, just to go sightseeing.
